Baobab Delta Okavango Collection

Size:

Made of hand-blown glass by our glassmakers, the Okavango candle is a unique object on which colours of brown, ochre and khaki green form a chimerical landscape. The eternally renewed swirls on the glass are reminiscent of a photograph of land seen from the sky. The Okavango delta is sublimated by the diffusion of an aromatic fragrance with hints of bergamot, absinthe and Indonesian patchouli.

A magical eco-system, home to rare species, the Okavango delta brings together the aromatic fragrances of a land full of contrasts, aromatic notes of a landscape bursting with water and fruit. Bergamot unfurls its citrus notes, and gives way to wormwood, a plant with green leaves and herbaceous notes. This perfume's power comes from its base note of Indonesian patchouli, which gives it warmth and vivacity.

The candles burn for a long time, and once the wax and scent are finally exhausted the hand-blown glass can be repurposed into gorgeous home decoration, for example, a drinks cooler, planter or tea light holder.

Usage

The following table indicates the approximate burn time for every size:

Max 10 60 Hours
Max 16 150 Hours
Max 24 400 Hours
Maxi Max 800 Hours

The above burning times are indicative only and can vary from one model to the other. The indicated burning time assumes a correct usage of the candle. A candle with an already liquid wax gets used up faster than a candle with partially solid wax. For that reason, we recommend that you blow out your candle an hour after the wax has completely liquefied. This will allow it to last longer.

Burning

The quality of our scented candles implies a specific burning protocol. During burning, it’s important to wait for the entire surface of the candle to liquefy before putting it out. This will prevent the formation of craters, which are both aesthetically displeasing and make future burning difficult. The first time you light your candle should be longer than the following times. Put aside some time so that the entire surface may liquefy. The length of this phase varies depending on the size of the candle: A max 10 takes about 3 to 4 hours, a max 16 between 5 and 6 hours, and a max 24 or a maxi max about 8 to 10 hours. Other burning instructions are inside the Baobab candle box.
